This is my favorite recipe for hot chocolate.
I found it off the box of a Hershey’s cocoa powder, and love it because it’s easy to adjust.
You will need:
- measuring spoons
- 1/4 tablespoon of vanilla extract
- a large mug
- 2 tablespoons of white sugar
- 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
- a dash of salt
- 1 cup of milk
Pour milk into dry mixture, and stir (my poor attempt of poring milk and taking a photo with an iPad).
Now add the vanilla, and stir that in too.
Decorate if you would like. Add sugar or milk, if you want the drink more sweet or creamy. Just be careful about adding too much of one ingredient, because it might block out the chocolate. Here is a picture of my finished drink. It was yummy.
I added a scoop of marshmallow fluff, and a squirt of strawberry syrup because I’m weird. Just kidding. I added it for flavor, and the syrup balanced it out with the strawberry. I poured the drink into a mason jar my mom got somewhere, and tied a pretty ribbon on the jar (for picture purposes).
I’m doing two or three posts today to make up for what I missed. It’s school vacation, and I’ve been sleeping and writing a lot.
